Don’t know how you feel about it but I for one think it is a disgrace that this country does not allow ex-Ghurkas live in this country should they wish to. I’m not a great one for encouraging more immigrants but these people have served our country well for over 200 years, earning an almost legendary reputation for bravery & honour, becoming feared as a fighting force and in return we have treated them oh so shabbily. For example it is only recently that we gave qualifying Ghurkhas a half decent pension instead of a mere £20 a year, shame on us as a nation, shame on our Government for failing to rectify this state of affairs. I was going to start a petition on the Downing Street site only to find there is already one but it’s existence is not well publicised.
